I was the little girl who could spend hours in the yarn aisle at Woolworth’s, imagining everything I could make. I would stand there running colors through my head, planning crochet projects I had no business attempting yet, perfectly content.
Then life happened—careers, five children in six years, the ordinary relentless busyness of it all. Somewhere in there I lost touch with that part of myself.
The funny thing about stitching is that it never really left me. It was just waiting for me to come back.

A while ago, I started casually sharing my crochet projects on Instagram. I genuinely was not sure anyone would care. I thought I was posting into the void. What happened instead completely surprised me.
People started reaching out to me with questions, asking where I got my yarn, what patterns I was using, and whether I would share what I was making.
I organized virtual stitch circles, which quickly filled with women who feel exactly the way I do about making beautiful things. A WhatsApp group I created became a place where people shared their projects at eleven at night and got a dozen replies by morning. What started as sharing a passion turned into a full-blown crochet community, and it happened faster than I could quite keep up with.
And then you started asking for more. More crochet patterns. More yarn recommendations. More behind the scenes. More of the conversation. I have been listening, taking notes, and building.
Vanessa’s Stitch Club is my answer.
I am enamored with the idea of building a full wardrobe that feels chic and high-fashion, made entirely with my own two hands. I obsessively search for the perfect yarn, color, and pattern combinations to make every project wow-worthy, and I love making crochet feel modern and cool.
But honestly, the only thing I love more than making beautiful things slowly is sharing every detail of that journey with you.
Stitch Club is where I will be sharing my hacks, my patterns, my ideas, and the projects I am working on in real time. It’s the place I wanted to create because there is nothing more fun than sitting around the table at your local yarn store, swapping tips and talking shop. I wanted to recreate that feeling for anyone, anywhere.
All are welcome here. Experts and beginners. Crocheters and knitters. Needlepointers, felters, cross stitchers, and the generally craft-obsessed. If you love making things with your hands, you belong!
My goal for this space is simple: have a ton of fun creating beautiful things while building community and friendships around our shared love of stitching.
Free subscribers receive emails with my favorite crochet patterns, bonus content, and a preview of the projects I am working on.
Paid subscribers get the full experience:
My hope is that the savings alone more than cover the cost of membership. That is genuinely the goal: to deliver a ton of amazing content while saving you money through free patterns and discounts.

My community has grown in ways I never expected over the past few months, and the things I love sharing have grown right along with it. Rather than trying to cram all of it into one newsletter, I am giving each part of my work its own home. Here is where everything lives now.
Vanessa’s Stitch Club (Thursdays): Everything I am making, the crochet patterns I am loving, the yarns I am obsessing over, styling ideas, and the little tricks I have picked up along the way. All the details in one place.
Voicenotes From A Friend (Tuesdays): An unfiltered, unpolished, full-hearted reflection each week. Basically the conversation we would have if we were sitting together over coffee.
My Monthly Newsletter: Think of it as a chance to catch up. I will share what has been happening in my life, what is inspiring me, and the things I think you might find helpful.
The free monthly virtual stitch: Still happening, still sweet and low-pressure, and still open to everyone. Bring whatever you are working on.
Subscribe to whichever conversations speak to you!
All my love, Vanessa
All of my crochet patterns live in Vanessa’s Stitch Club at vanessastitchclub.com. Free subscribers get my favorite pattern picks and previews of what I am working on. Paid subscribers get free patterns delivered regularly, plus exclusive discounts on yarn and materials.
Not at all. Crocheters, knitters, needlepointers, felters, cross stitchers, and the generally craft-obsessed are all welcome. If you love making things with your hands, you belong here.
Yes! Experts and beginners are equally welcome. The free monthly virtual stitch is a sweet and low-pressure place to start if you want to feel out the community before committing to anything.
There is a free tier and a paid tier ($5/month or $50/year). My goal is for the free patterns and member discounts to more than cover the cost of membership.
It is a free virtual gathering held once a month. Bring whatever you are working on, meet fellow makers, and settle into a little creativity and community. I’ll lightly facilitate the session so that it stays a warm, intentional environment. All are welcome, experienced or just starting out. RSVP here.

A weekly voicenote from me to you. Sometimes deep, sometimes ridiculous, always human. Think of it like the kind of voicenote I’d leave my best friend—the messy, unfiltered version of me, saying the things we don’t usually say out loud. Now I’m sending them to you.
