Vanessa's Summer Reading Giveaway

My Summer Reading List

Confession: I’m kind of obsessed with cults.

I’ve read a bunch of books by gurus and self-help teachers. They range from cult leaders to people whose work I would characterize as irresponsible/not in alignment with my values.

I read these books because I’m so fascinated by how and why people get swept up with certain types of teachers and where it can all go so terribly wrong.

Personally, I draw a hard line on the integrity of teachers. For some, a teacher’s message can be valuable notwithstanding the way that the teacher walks through the world. That just doesn’t work for me.

While I’m really curious and cast a very wide net for teachers, that same net is pretty tight– there aren’t that many teachers that I admire and follow.

If you’re looking for summer reading inspiration, below are some of my favorite self-help books from the teachers that I actually trust. These authors have the utmost integrity and heart, and I stand behind them completely.

Thank you for being here.🤍

With love,
Vanessa
