Self-care is recognizing that your needs matter.
In the very beginning of my journey to find myself, I committed to making myself a cup of tea in the morning before I made breakfast for my five kids, got backpacks ready, and rushed out the door.
It was a reminder every day that taking care of my own needs didn’t cause my world to fall apart. Everyone was fine to wait a few minutes before I rushed to take care of them.
